Arrested for the reading the Bible??!! April 9, 2012

“Mackey is a reverend with Calvary Chapel Hemet, a conservative Christian church that practices an “evangelical ministry,” requiring public testimonials and Scripture readings.” He was standing outside the DMV wanting to read the Bible to the waiting crowd. Was he being intimidating, or shoving the Bible down their throat, or even being demanding? According the cop who arrested him, he was; he claimed he was preaching to a captive audience which in some world does not make it right. But hello! There will be a captive audience ANYWHERE. The crowd could have left or could have chosen not to listen. The reverend was charged with trespassing, which does not make sense for the pure fact that the DMV is a public place. Technically, the crowd of people were trespassing as well. The reverend is innocent and all charges should be dropped because they have nothing to stand on to charge him with! If it was any other religion, would it have been different? Would the cop still arrest the person, or “trespasser”? Maybe one of these days, all the unsaved people in the DMV crowd, will wish they would have listened to the reverend.

Service Horses …

Why not use miniature horses as service animals? The Guide Horse Foundation says the horses learn the same behaviors as a guide dog would. In a recent case, the attorney pointed out the fact that a miniature horse has more strength than a normal service dog does. In a recent case, the disabled gentlemen owned a guide dog, but could not pull him in his wheelchair. Stores should treat the guide horses into stores and restaurants just like they would with guide/service dogs. In these cases, it is fair for disabled people to own a horse for this purpose. Service dogs on the other hand, should be granted to people with disabled such as blind, or deaf, or going blind. Restaurants claim that the miniature horses are not housetrained and would cause more mess for them to clean up. Regardless if it is a miniature horse, or a dog, it should not matter because they are providing a service and are helping. There has not been a problem yet with a miniature horse as a service animal, so why not accept the idea? According to the American Miniature Horse Association, there are over 200,000 miniature horses registered with the organization around the world as service animals.

Marine Sgt. Gary Stein created a Facebook page, Armed Forces Tea Party Page, to give active military members a place to voice their opinions about “Obama administration’s allegedly unconstitutional actions.” Some are trying to pin Stein to wall claiming that having this page is in violation of his active role of marine. Stein commented: ““I’ve done nothing wrong. I’ve only stated what our oath states, that I will defend the Constitution and that I will not follow unlawful orders. If that’s a crime, what is America coming to?” Over 23,000 plus Facebookers are supporting him. He has not done anything wrong. Just following orders regardless if they are constitutionally correct or not, goes against what a marine’s role is. Anybody is allowed to comment on this page, either for or against the status updates or posts people add. This could be easily understood in making this an investigation if it was just a slam sight, a place where you leave nasty comments about the President and the government. Stein is an American marine voicing his opinion and giving others a chance to as well, what happened to freedom of speech? Maureen Taylor posted, “We support you and defend your rights. Semper Fidelis, my friend!”

Obama’s Agenda

If Americans only knew … We cannot allow this man to have power. Anyone with a job needs to vote for anything but Obama. Unfortunately, ‘race’ will be a factor. It is too bad that race trumps reason in the 21st century. Actions speak louder than words and the actions of this President are definitely questionable as is the election of such an unknown, and unqualified. His past is hidden, his associates questionable, and his methods undemocratic. Obama wants to provide support as in health insurance, food stamps, welfare for all the Americans who don’t want to find a job because they know it will just be handed to them. He wants to legalize all illegal immigrants and let them live here for free so they will continue to have a Democratic vote. All he cares about is creating a bigger government at the expense of hard working Americans who can barely make ends meet, but yet they make too much to be able to take advantage of the government aid. Why is it that Americans who try to provide for their families always get the short end of the stick when it comes to government aide and college grants money?

Tea Party Rallies

If someone does not stand for what is right or what they believe in, then who will? Tea Party supporters came together in Washington to oppose the President’s new health care law. Herman Cain told hundreds of ralliers: “That’s what this is about, the freedom to choose our own doctors … the freedom to choose our own health insurance plan.” He also said that if this law was already in effect, he might not have been a survivor of cancer just because of all the limitations. Congress is trying to provide health insurance for more than 30 million Americans who have been uninsured; but the only question is how? Where is Congress going to find the extra money to provide the insurance. Not only that, but since when was Congress given the right/power to force Americans to be insured? Why is it that the government and Congress is able or at least trying to stray away from the Constitution and the rules and regulations when passing laws and governing our Nation? If Americans do not start speaking up and making our opinions known, the government will continue to walk all over us, Americans. May God be with us.

Racism … Not hardly!

The 17 year old attacked Zimmerman – when the police got there, Zimmerman’s nose was broken, he had a bloody face and blood on the back of his head. But the African Americans are playing off the race thing which this had nothing to do with. The kid was walking through a neighborhood where he did not belong. So let me get this straight. Zimmerman shooting an African American kid in self-defense is racism, but the Black Panthers putting a hit out on Zimmerman to be murdered is not racism? Lock and load America. Obamuslim, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and other race baiters like them are stirring the pot making war between the races. This could only get worse. Just imagine what will happen if the president is able to do something about this. Self-defense, is self-defense. Why did Martin follow Zimmerman to his car? Okay, they exchanged a few words, but Martin began the violence. Honestly, if this was any racism at all, Zimmerman would have shot Martin when he first saw him in the neighborhood. There is no telling what Martin was going to do if Zimmerman had not had stopped him. If Zimmerman was given the role/job of watchman, what else do people expect him to do in the neighborhood, play video games while he is supposed to be keeping watch? If Martin was purple, I wonder if they would still try to call it racism.

What was he thinking??

Yes, history came a long way when President Obama was elected as President of the United States. Is he able to do just about whatever he wants to in Congress and government by the color of his skin? Or by his eloquent speaking ability that has been coached and pre-written by someone else? Bypassing Congress means nothing to Obama. There seems to be no boundaries for this two-faced president. What happened to the checks and balances that our country has practiced all these years until Obama was elected into office? He did not want to approve the building of a gas line in the United States which would improve the economy by providing jobs and making the United States less dependent on other countries (like his home country), but yet he will over-run Congress and give money ( all of 1.5 BILLION dollars) to the Muslim brotherhood. Okay, this could be understood and easily accepted if this amount of money was given to an organization in the United States; college scholarship programs or grow the budget for teachers or to help improve the school systems. There is only one true reason why the president of the UNITED STATES would send that much money (especially with our economy in such a rut) to people who burn the American flag and are proud of it; the president supports them. We wonder why the economy is bad, why there has not been any quick turn-arounds, or why job positions are not increasing … It is hard to respect our President when he does not respect and support the country he is supposedly representing and honoring.

Revoke Citizenship?!

Are these people crazy!? The Senate and the House of Representatives are wanting to tweak the Enemy Expatriation Act by adding “engaging in, or purposefully and materially supporting, hostilities against the United States will lose his “nationality.” Technically, this is every American citizen. Every person will have something against the United States government depending on their political party. Even if they draw a line between what is okay or acceptable and what is citizenship revocable, they still will not be able to control this mass chaos. This would include the third political party of Libertarians. This includes the soldiers returning from war, and the protestors who are committed to the Constitution and what this country was founded on. Take every American citizen who has “hostility towards the United States” and who is going to be left living legally in the great country of United States?, oh wait, the President, that is about it. Technically speaking, regardless of what political party the current president represents, there will always be hostility in the United States. This bill should be reworded, rethought, or just revoked altogether. There are laws for legitimate aliens or terrorist, but why do us, American citizens who are born and raised or who have citizens for awhile, be treated like this? This is just one more way the government can show they have control over us, Americans.

Money Habits March 22, 2012

One of the largest problems that Americans face are bad financial habits. Experts have pinpointed ten common ways where people tend to fall short with financial choices. The list includes: contributing too little to your 401 (k), keeping quiet at raise time, carrying a balance on credit cards, using too many credit cards, spending money without tracking it, skipping on emergency savings, and skipping disability insurance. Since the economy went bad, Americans have become more aware of where they are spending their money. More and more people though need to become more cautious and save their money, especially since presidential elections are coming up. Creating a budget as well as managing the money flow is a great place to start. The budget should include categories like: emergency fund, allowance, shopping, vacation (vacation trips), car repair, and next car. When there is an emergency, there will be money available to spend and the ‘crisis at hand’ only feels like a small speed bump. Creating and living by a financial budget creates a security as well as disciplines the spending of cash. Eliminating the number of credit cards to only one or max of two helps control how much spending and debt.

Don’t put juveniles in jail for life March 19, 2012

The debate of whether or not to give juveniles life sentences for crimes committed during their teenage years is an ongoing discussion.  Professor Laurence Steinberg of psychology at Temple University, conducted research which showed “adolescents are less mature than adults in ways that make them more impulsive, more short-sighted and more susceptible to peer influence, all factors that make them less culpable.” Taking into consideration a thirteen-year-old murders a neighbor and is tried as an adult and is given a life sentence, is this fair? Whether he stays in jail for his entire life, or is let go on parole, the crime he committed will be on his record, no matter where he goes. When the juvenile completes a job application, college application, credit card application, bank loans, looking to buy a house or car, the crime will follow. We are flooding our jails with juveniles who have served their time for the crime they committed, why not let them have a chance at life outside of the four walls or outside of the barbed-wire fence? Yes, the possibility of the juvenile to commit another murder is present, but if they served enough jail time, it might change their life. Since the working class pays an average of $68 a day per criminal to sit in jail, why not let the approved have a chance to better themselves?
